Partij MFAS

Quality of education, freedom of choice and development, and an optimal learning environment: these are the three core values that Party MFAS stands for. Party MFAS is a student party for and by students of the faculty. With the aim of safeguarding the interests of the student and giving them the best possible education. For both the Bachelor of Medicine, Master of Medicine and Medical Informatics students.

Party MFAS therefore wants to focus on

AI Policy
- We want to move with the times and ensure that our education reflects the latest developments. This means that we do not want an anti-AI policy, but rather ensure that new guidelines and frameworks are developed and implemented on time.
- The responsible use of AI Large Language models and AI tools must be given a proper place in academic education. This technology can contribute significantly to the development of a doctor or healthcare professional.

Sustainability
- Sustainability must be interwoven in education instead of the current sporadic lessons
- Education about sustainability must be at a higher level

Communication & efficiency
- As Party MFAS, we want to be accessible, whereby the Student Council clearly communicates the progress of the plans with the students, via a monthly update and a college talk twice a year.
- We want to create an opportunity to contact the Student Council anonymously; to make suggestions, questions, comments or a problem known.
- Small adjustments have been taking up too much time for years, despite agreements with educational institutions, which means that large and small changes in cumbersome organizations often cost more time than they yield. It is of great importance that this efficiency drive is improved for students, education and healthcare in the Netherlands.

Social safety & mental health
- Mental health: Students experience long-term mental health problems; Party MFAS wants to contribute to a practical approach to reduce burn-outs. - Social safety: Improved education on social safety from day 1, including information on micro-aggressions, to ensure a safe learning and working environment.
